10 Best Lounges and Clubs for a Sunday Night Out in NYC

Let’s just put it out there: Sunday nights are not known for their rampaging energy. But lucky for us, it’s during these nights that bars and lounges promote special events to draw us in. I have provided a little list of some awesome events to go to on your Sunday night out in the city. Make it your best Sunday Funday ever!

Super Bowl Sunday Packages

Goldbar (Little Italy)  This exquisite club in Little Italy neighborhood on the Lower East Side throws a legendary "Sunday Funday" party which attracts the city's best DJs and a very attractive crowd. VIP tables with two premium bottles and champagne at $1000.

Le Souk  (Greenwich Village)  This Moroccan restaurant and hookah bar offers a pleasant dim-lit atmosphere perfect for date night or a girl’s night out. Le Souk now presents “Glow in the Dark Sundays,” where live dancers and DJs will spice up the night with beats and body painting. Check out our awesome package offers like a $60pp “Date Night Feast,” which includes a five-course dinner and a bottle of bubbly champagne. VIP Packages start at $600. Grab a hookah as well.

Katra Lounge (Lower East Side)  "Brunch Daze Party" features brunch specials from 1pm until 5pm and a Day Party into the evening. Late night "Secret Sundays Reoaded" follows starting at 10pm. Music by the city's best hip hop DJs. Hookah available all day. VIP packages start at $300.

Soju Restaurant & Lounge (Washington Heights)  An afternoon brunch with packages at $20/person transitions into Uptown's best Sunday Night party. VIP bottle specials at $75 for one bottle and $200 for two premium bottles.

Cielo (Meatpacking District)  If this Sunday Night you want to go all out, Cielo is the place. The club's iconic Deep Space party with resident DJ Francois K moves to Sunday nights. The event encourages the creative use of technology in both the music and the stage. Located in the center of New York’s Meatpacking District, Cielo is so hot that even its Sundays are packed!  VIP tables start at $325.

Sapphire Gentlemen's Club SINS Party (Midtown East)  Presenting Sapphire’s “Sensual Sundays,” a night featuring a live DJ and $6 Stoli and Jack drinks. Plus, just for being a NiteTables member, you can score free admission and one drink on the house! Just check out our package offers under “Sapphire Free Admission.”

Sunstruck at Gansevoort Hotel (Meatpacking District)  The rooftop of the Gansevoort Hotel is host to one of NYC's hottest weekly parties. Doors open at 3pm. VIP packages start at $700 for two bottles of Tito's.

Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar  (Midtown West)  Maybe you’ve really screwed up this time. Need to do some quick damage control with the Mrs.? Try the “Couples’ Night Out Sunday Special” at Ayza. With candlelit tables and rose petals spread across the table, Ayza creates the perfect romantic retreat. And she won’t be able to resist when they serve complimentary Jacques Torres chocolate truffles at the end of the meal.

Botanica Bar (Nolita)  Who’s up for some Sunday night karaoke? At this tiny rectangle of a bar in Nolita, no one will be able to escape the resonance of your golden pipes. In fact, bar patrons welcome it and will probably cheer you on. If Koreatown is more your speed, head to the legendary fourth floor Stage Karaoke for a private room. Packages available starting at $10/person.

Any Speakeasy

NYC speakeasies are the perfect Sunday night wind-down! You can always expect the most delicious cocktails with a classy, yet equally laid-back atmosphere at places like Angel’s Share, Dear Iriving (one of my personal favorites), Raine’s Law Room or Please Don’t Tell.  Also, Bathtub Gin holds a free burlesque show every Sunday that is not to be missed!

There you have it folks! Take your pick from the myriad of Sunday night choices. You have now got a list ranging from the romantic love-birds dinner to the “dudes only” night to the all-out solo dance party under flashing club lights kind of night. Good luck!
