March Madness: NYC's Best Sports Bars for Watching the NCAA Tournament

As we await the transition to Spring in New York City, the 2017 NCAA Basketball Tournament will help to take our minds off the miserable weather. Hunkering down in front of the TV at a great sports bar to root for your college team or just to witness the major upsets is our reward to riding out a long winter.  Although Kentucky is the odds on favorite to win the championship, the rest of the brackets are wide open and any of us old enough to recall Villanova against Georgetown realize anything is possible. You can expect a young and exuberant crowd at this Upper East Side East sports bar which will be hopping for all the NCAA Tournament games. Special table package includes a $50 credit to the pour-your-own-beer-taps or equal value of pitchers plus shared appetizers at $40/person.


Tonic East

The 40/40 Club

This basketball watching mecca feature ultra-big screen TVs and stadium-style couch seating for all the games. Dinner with two drinks special offer at $40/person. Late night weekends feature resident DJ Cipha Sounds.


Suite 36

Home turf for the Syracuse Orangemen, this Midtown sports lounge will be loaded with old school Big East/ACC fans for the game while the DJs take over late night on weekends.



Expect a a young and exuberant crowd every night of the NCAA Tourney at this Union Square sports bar. Home bar for the Florida Gators. A cooler of Bud or Bud Light at $120 with a bottle of Fireball included at an additional $100.  White Girl Rose bottles at $55.



Enjoy all the games on one of 60 TVs spread out over two floors at this Midtown bar steps away from Madison Square Garden. Two hour open bar at $40/person and dinner with drinks at $50/person.


Village Pourhouse

The March Madness package is three buckets of Bud or Bud Light at $75 with table seating to watch the games. Home bar for the Virginia Tech Hokies.


Atwood Kitchen & Bar
